Acrylic, also know as "Plexi Glass" is a hard, brittle plastic available in many colors and shapes, but most often found in clear sheets. Acrylic can be drilled, machined, and cut (including laser cutting) with great precision, but great care needs to be taken when working with thin sheets of it as its brittleness makes it very easy to crack. Tapping this Material and using a screw to attach it to other objects will lead to cracking.

Unlike other plastics such as PET(Polyethylene terephthalate) it can not be bent at room temperature without cracking. When heated however, acrylic becomes very formable.
