Duty Cycle
From bildr
Duty cycle refers to the percentage of time which a square wave is high vs. the percentage of time it is low. A 50% duty cycle means that the wave is high for the same amount of time it is low (also known as a square wave). A 20% duty cycle would indicate that the wave is high 1/5 of the time and low for 4/5 of the time.
