E-ink or Electronic ink is a revolution in display technology.

E-ink is also green as it uses less power.

A 12” LCD-equipped device uses, in 20 hours, the equivalent of 36 AA batteries while an E Ink 12-inch display uses just one battery's worth.

This is a new technology and is still evolving. The latest incarnations are colour opening out the field of usage a lot more.
