The phrase mesh network relates to a type of network interconectivity. Each node in the network has multiple links to other nodes. The ideal mest would have links to every other none giving maximum redundency. Mesh networking is very good at surviving faults in the chain of communication as if a link breaks the information is just re-routed another way.
